Our award-winning run continues!
Following fast on the heels of recent award wins at the Energy Efficiency Awards (thanks to our renewable energy partner Perfect Sense Energy) and reaching the finalist stage for the Energy & Sustainability Award at the 2021 Make UK Manufacturing Awards and Sustainable Manufacturing Award at the 2021 The Manufacturer MX Awards, Crystal Doors is proud to announce that we were named Manufacturer of the Year at the prestigious BusinessGreen Leaders Awards in London in September.
The Manufacturer of the Year Award celebrates pioneers in green manufacturing best practice and principles. We managed to beat some big heavyweights to the title, including British American Tobacco. The judges said:
Crystal Doors’ ambitious net zero target, significant clean tech investment, and energy efficiency-first approach won over the judges and provides an inspiring template for smaller businesses all across the UK to follow.
Unfortunately, we were not able to attend the award ceremony to collect the award, because Managing Director Richard Hagan was over in Westminster Abbey picking up his copy of 300 Years of Leadership and Innovation, a special edition book published to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the appointment of Britain’s first Prime Minister in 1721. The book celebrates leadership across the full spectrum of British society, including Richard – who was nominated three times for inclusion because of his great work helping Crystal Doors and other small businesses to tackle the climate and environmental crisis. Well done Richard!
