In 2014 Crystal Doors had a great response from the Skills event in Rochdale with over 150 volunteers using a pin gun for the first time.  This year will be even better as we will be brining a range of colourful kydex plastic boards.  Kydex is a specialist plastic used for example in airplane interiors.  Yes we even have the Ryanair bright yellow along with gold, silver, pink and many other colours.

Make a money box, or pin a panel to the wall after writing your first name and what job you would like to do in the future.  This skill is used for making sofas, with larger nail guns used in building houses; for stud walls, floors and roof wood structures.

The manufacturing factory in Rochdale off Queensway has a 5 axis CNC’s, beam saw, access to the latest materials and a £500k press line installed last year.  After 20 years of specializing in bespoke work, we pride ourselves in our skilled workforce manufacturing wrapped MDF items to many industries.  We work with most high street shop names supplying panels, along with many hotels, and around 200+ kitchen, bedroom or bathrooms each week. We have supplied Redhot world buffet in Manchester with all their MDF panels, and soon the Panacea Bar in Manchester will see our vinyl cover the main bar and Champagne bar.

Crystal Doors has close links with Hopwood College and currently has 3 apprentices, with 3 more employees undertaking NVQ qualifications with the College.  All 35 employees have received external training, and the company was a finalist in the Rochdale business awards in 2014.
